You can count on comprehensive surgical and nonsurgical orthopaedic care from our multidisciplinary team. Our doctors have advanced fellowship training and extensive experience in joint reconstructive surgery, sports medicine, and arthroscopic surgery.
At your initial office visit with one of our orthopaedic doctors, you will be able to provide your complete medical history and to describe your orthopaedic issue. Our specialists will meet with you to discuss your questions and concerns and to give you a personal evaluation. Your doctor will then discuss your condition and treatment options with you. State of the art digital X-rays are available at each office and may be utilized for accurate diagnosis.
Once you and your doctor determine a plan of action, our office will help to facilitate insurance authorization and arrangements for further testing and non surgical treatment such as physical therapy. If you and your doctor determine that surgery is the best option, your procedure will be performed directly by your doctor.
We frequently treat injuries and conditions successfully without surgery. However, when surgery is required, you can count on access to our highly trained and experienced surgeons for expert surgical care. We provide personalized surgical treatment focused on safety and returning your quality of life.
Our focus is providing you with the best possible outcome. We use the most advanced pain controlling methods to provide the most comfortable experience and to quicken your recovery with often little or no pain. When patients do not need to rely on narcotic pain pills, they experience less complications and quicker return to their activities.
The physical therapy team at Southern Orthopaedic Specialists is committed to providing the highest quality, safest, and clinically effective treatments for all musculoskeletal injuries and surgeries. Our clinicians understand that we are not solely treating just a muscle or joint–we are treating the whole person and assisting them with reaching their specific goals. This starts on your first visit with a comprehensive physical therapy evaluation.
We not only thoroughly exam the injured region, we also screen other joints and muscles that may have a contributing factor to your diagnosis. We observe and identify functional deficits and abnormal movement patterns. This extensive evaluation process allows us to go far deeper than just treat your pain–we fix the causative factors of your pain.
Our treatment plans are tailored to your level of function and physical goals. We want you to regain and improve the quality of life you had before your injury or surgery. For our athletic population, including "weekend warriors," we strive to improve your performance and reduce the risk for future injuries upon your return to competition.
Our team of physical therapists are highly trained in orthopaedic diagnoses, various manual therapy techniques, therapeutic modalities, and evidence based exercise prescription. We work closely with the physicians at Southern Orthopaedic Specialists to provide patients with the safest and most effective treatment plans.
We take great pride in our patients personal success stories! The physical therapy team treats each patient as if they were one of our family members. Please contact us if you have any questions about physical therapy, or if you would like information on setting up an appointment.
