About Scott A. Buhler, M.D.
Dr. Scott Buhler is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon and sports medicine specialist, trained in the latest techniques of reconstructive and arthroscopic knee and shoulder surgery. Dr. Buhler treats a full range of orthopedic conditions using the most current proven advances in orthopedic care. His specialty areas of interest include sports medicine, arthroscopic and reconstructive knee surgery, shoulder surgery, and elbow surgery.
Dr. Buhler was born and raised in Louisiana, he graduated Summa Cum Laude from Louisiana State University School of Medicine where he held multiple leadership positions. Dr. Buhler went on to complete his residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston and then completed an advanced Sports Medicine Fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine Department of Orthopedic Surgery. Dr. Buhler returned to his home state of Louisiana where he has been in private practice since 2013.
The advanced training that Dr. Buhler received has allowed him to take care of athletes of all ages and levels. Whether you dislocated your shoulder playing with your kids or injured your ACL during a collegiate basketball game, you will be in good hands with Dr. Buhler. He will take the time to listen to you and carefully diagnose your condition, together you will discuss options and choose the one that works best for you and that you are most comfortable with.
